Keywords in My Sound Art Journey: Feminism, Synthesis, Noise, and Installation

Feminism plays a crucial role in my sound art practice. It prompts me to reflect on the relationship between voice and gender, particularly regarding how women’s voices are heard or ignored in society. Through my work, I express women’s experiences and challenge traditional gender roles. For me, voice represents a powerful tool that amplifies women’s perspectives.

Electronic sound synthesis enables me to create new sounds rather than simply relying on those found in nature. I appreciate the freedom it offers, allowing me to design completely unique sound effects. Electronically synthesized sounds provide a means to convey complex emotions and ideas that are often difficult to express through traditional music.

Noise also holds significant importance in my work. While many people perceive noise as discordant and uncomfortable, I see it as a way to break the rules. It allows me to challenge our accustomed auditory experiences and encourages people to reconsider the meaning of sound from a fresh perspective.

Sound installation is an art form that allows me to merge sound with space. I enjoy creating immersive experiences where the audience not only hears the sound but also feels its presence within the space. Through sound installations, I can transform people’s perceptions of their surroundings and integrate sound as an essential element of the environment.
