Final Mixing and Mastering

After completing the initial splicing, I began to work on the overall mixing and master processing. The goal of this step is to bring all the audio elements together in a more harmonious way, while enhancing the texture of the work.

First, I added slight compression and balancing to the vocal tracks to ensure that the dialogue is clear and layered. Especially in the multi-person dialogue scene, I adjusted the sound image of each character (panning), so that the sound has a more reasonable distribution in the stereo field, thus enhancing the sense of space.

For the sound part, I further optimized the dynamic range. For example, environmental sound effects such as rain and footsteps, I use automatic volume control to make their intensity change in different scenes more suitable for the story. For transient sound effects such as glass collisions and door shutters, I enhanced the transient response to make them sound more impactful.

In the processing of background music, I pay attention to the smoothness of emotional transition. At certain plot points, I let the music fade out or cut in to avoid abrupt cuts that ruin the atmosphere. At the same time, I made minor adjustments to the frequency band of the music to avoid conflicting with the vocal frequency band.

Finally, I exported the finished product for listening and feedback within the group. According to everyone’s comments, the final adjustments were made, and the opening segment of the news broadcast was added. Play up the atmosphere at the beginning of the story to achieve better results.
